Spliced Raindrop

Loud the storm whirl
And the lightning stroke;
Mathematics will say;
“One minus one is zero”.
But picture the pregnant clouds
Crying and shedding it all,
With a heavy downpour.

While in the atmosphere,
Just a single droplet
May meet its doom
And be spliced into two
But still remains as one.
Rules and laws are obeyed,
But not all the time.
