Who do we blame, Benz…
Or the innocent ladies
Or flat bed of Government
Ritualist climb on top.
Above par of emotion
She chose a gravy train
Burning holes in pockets
Cash and carry submission
She takes a collection
Bread and butter in bed
Oh tell the god of seduction
Her arts are now a pitfall.
For the streets never sleeps
While fingers tap keyboards
And eyes watch the monitors
In order for boys to strike gold.
Ever since these boys chose
All or nothing weight of golds,
Going dutch for the money
Greasing her palms in bed
Lady’s now move around
In fear and without pants
Rumours say, it cost a fortune
In shrines where it bleeds
And proceeds fetch the Benz
While the owner of the pants
Mysteriously develop issues
All for the sake of the coins.
Hi Vinz, I must commend your creativity and the evergreen words you bring up each time you publish on your blog. You made my 2018 incredible and I always look forward to your next publications. In the same light, I have received a good number of likes from you on my blogs as well. It really gladdens my heart each time I notice your likes and comments.
More importantly, I have a forthcoming publication titled ‘Voices’ and I am in need of contributing poets on this one. I am hoping you will be interested in contributing to this effort. ‘Voices’ as titled is meant to discuss about the different visage of love – sweet love and sour love. In this publication, each contributing poets will come up with two poems; one perfect love story and the other, a sad love story.
I was studying at your blog and I discover you have done so much on this subject matter, if given the permission I will go ahead to pick from the poems on your blog. I am hoping to have (15) fifteen contributing poets; among these poets are: Robert Okaji, Ragazza Triste, Frank Solanki, Luna, Specsladeyes, Baffy Basics, Cubby, Shefali among others. Your contribution and support will be well acknowledged and preached.
Thanks for your consideration. I hope to hear from you soon.
Regards,
Victor Eshameh-Giftedminds

Thank you ma.
The poem laments about a rumour trending in Nigeria..
In the rumour, it is said that armed men and unarmed men attack ladies but instead of assaulting or demanding money from the ladies, they ask them to submit pants and they make way with it. Then use the pants diabolically to make money, and many of these boys after making this money either from internet scam or stealing pants or both, go ahead to buy expensive cars such as Mercedes Benz. The girls whose pants are stollen are sometimes prostitutes and other times decent girls.

There is usually some truth to rumors. If even half of this is, it is a sad situation. I can’t understand people who will carelessly take advantage of others.

Yeah, at times I wonder if there is God because if I were Him, I wouldn’t wait for another repetition of evil.

I don’t wonder anymore. There can’t be as there is no evidence for one.

I don’t know but there isn’t any evidence that a god did it either.

Ah, it must be your region then? I live in the US and even though it is fairly religious, we are free to believe in a god or not.

Speaking of evidence, do you believe in diabolic power?

No, but I do think there are people who are greedy and feel enriched by power over others. Even some who are so sick and disgusting to intentionally hurt others.
