My kindred will say; likes cure like,
But not the way you just click like
On all write-ups I do upload
Without reading a single word.
Most times you view with an envy
A fair exchange is no robbery
Scratch mine and yours I will scratch back
Yet you never will follow back.
Roosting peoples updates we see
I am guilty and it scares me
If you have been inside my shoes
You will have a personal clue.
I think I’m your kindred spirit bro. 👌

OMG yes – haha perfectly describes all the blogs liking posts on WordPress randomly without reading them at all! I even tested it out with a post saying don’t like this post and it was my only post to get reblogged and like 100s of people were “liking” the reblog. It’s all so fake and even the people with a bunch of supposed followers don’t have that many people actually reading their content.
Great poem.

Life on social media as a poem is not picking on any social media in particular. Even here on WordPress many writer click follow to get followers and click like without reading the post.

That’s a given on any social media platform that’s why its the quality of the like/follower not the quantity that matters.

Is it a messed up world? Where false result rules over actual result.

Yes it is. I was taught in school how the world is supposed to work. Only to spend the last forty odd years learning how the world actually works. It ain’t a pretty picture.

How I wish we all could fix this wrong turn. At times I think school education was created to distract mines from the reality.

The education system is actually set up to prepare students to work in factories etc. As well as to funnel the cream of the crop into college.

Your welcome! :) If she’s got a rolling pin or a frying pan in her hand and fire in her eyes – run like hell. 😱😇

No need to run but give her an airtight embrace for my love will wedge the pin, ice freeze the pan, and quench the fires in her eyes.
