Unsealed

Speech unspoken
Leaves have fallen
Hot now frozen

We do not bind
Yet, love is blind,
Blowing out minds.

Our hearts are clays
On a display
Cracking both ways..

It is a shame
We quench our flames
Passing the blame.

After the lies
And thousand times
We lost the sparks

We still do fight
In dark and light
Shredding our hearts.

Our Reality Show

We are all entertainers
Performing on the globe
At different locations
And varying genres…

What a wonder to see
The sunrise and sunset
With light as cameras
Scorching hot are some spots

And while the snow flakes drop
Others feel the harmattan
Long are some entertainments
Others have a short career.

What an unending programme
In heavens; the viewers
Must be addicted to
These reality shows…

For they switch the channels
Every twenty four hours
Giving rise to sunrise
And even to sunset.

Prettiest of pretties

You are a blessing
That is not disguised
Obviously you rock
Every cloth you wear

The strange things you do
Are like gravity
Pulling sight to you
Against viewer’s will

Songs of Solomon
And the best of inks
Will never describe
Seductions you bring.

God must be biased
For creating you
Way finer than all
Ladies I have met.

Fighter

Are you glad to see my back
So that only you can advance
Are you glad to see my fall
So that you alone can fly high…
Are you envious of my shine
Sorry to break it down to you
Amazing how hard I fall
Someone like me never give up.

Attitude of pains

I can’t carry my chest
It feels so heavy by the left
And it gives me butterflies
An awful reason to die…

The nights seems to be so long
Therewith the worries tag along
Do I pull rabbits from hats
During these dark struggling times…

At times I look up above
Are heavens enjoying the show
Sad, my efforts are barren
Seems like heaven is not caring.

Family

Where do I run to
All over the town
When the chips are down.

Where do I run to
After counting chicks
Before the eggs hatched.

Where do I run to
When my heart tear scales
And rips off my chest.

Where do I run to
Away from the frights
And all pains begot.

Where do I run to
To silent thunder
And end this trauma…

Where do I run to
When expectations
Have all been cut short

Where do I run to
Down a deadly road
Where all doors are closed.

Where do I run to
If not family
Singing; home sweet home.

Tight Corners

Once you get married
Family expands
A son and daughter
Parents acquire;
Please do not take
Me off my rocker

I have heard them say;
Blood is thicker than
Water, but between
Your parents and spouses
Who is the thick blood
And who is water?

It may be easy
To draw conclusion
Not until, you are
Caught between two stools;
Two favorites that
Costs an arm and a leg

Me, I love them both
So do not blame me
When you see me freeze
In situations
When I have to pick
Between love and blood.

Baskets and caskets

Every year we look forward to next
Speak of the Devil, December is here
But it has not a spark of decency
Taking many lives, at the final lap
You may not truly comprehend
Or understand the gravity
And the large vacuum it does create
Until it snatches someone close to you.

Love confession (III)

You are the whole nine yards
Everyone’s dream about
A perfect reason to
Head straight to pit of hell.

Your facial appearance
Exorcises demons, I heard
Though on the grapevine
That you keep love at bay

You never know what is
True if you keep running
From the truth, I have reached
Final destination

I am optimistic
Simply because every cloud
Has a silver lining;
Mine is you, please accept.

Love confession (II)

None can steal your thunder
With or without makeups
You are always finer
And brighter than the sun…
