Only an Aunt can give hug
Like a mother, carry lugs
Like sisters, going miles
Like friends with a sweet smile.
Before my tongue was bitter
I swung by to check on her
And wish her quick recovery
Seventy-five is young to me.
Laid on resuscitation
But seeing her condition
Breathing long, slow deep and hard
I sensed another graveyard.
We rushed her for a brain scan
She gave up right in our arms
Though my composure did win
My tears fell louder within.
God gives, and takes at His time
Now that you are gone, please find
An eternal peace and rest
Adieus Aunty, God knows best.

Yeah, indeed only Aunties hug you like a mother…
And watching someone you know and love die right under your arms is so painful… And when that person is an Aunt it is worst.

Take heart.
She’s gone to rest
Forever.
No more sorrow
No more tears
Free from from the wicked world
Safe in the Lord’s bossom
All smiley and happy
Take heart.
She’s gone to rest
