Sonnet: Vinify 19 (My wedding day toast)

Purple and silver
Everyone glitters
April twentytwo
Today I walk down
The Aisle, is the
Beginning of bliss;
Sweet vinify wine

Happy we wear
Walking on air;
So crystal clear
Two destined hearts;
Fusing as one
So shall it be;
Till eternity.

Sonnet: 9ja 9ja

Along the white
And the green
Blood, fraud and whorls
Now a dream.
Bad economy can make
Dishonesty
Taste like cake.

Moral values
Are low this time
Lower than a snake belly
Being good
Is now a crime
By any means,
Chasing money.

Sonnets: Running ruined

Most times we try
But the discomfort

Comes to hunt us
With inflictions.

Pain in the ass
Break hearts like glass.

I know it is
What we stave off.

Yet it blesses us
In big disguise.

So why not bear
Until it fades

Bringing bright shades
That gladdens hearts.

Sonnet: Way to top

Between the top and the bottom
Blue is the sky across the bridge
Halfway through, the end always shift
Hoping to reach the other side
Therein bliss, sweet, milk and honey
Though, obstacles do exist
Before we get to promise land.

But every time we chicken out
On the first sight of hazard sign
Or upon sounds, when across it
There are no hitches nor glitches
Thus; an objective to maintain
All we have gained onto our names
And new status in hall of fame.

Sonnets: Why envy mine

Because I spark
You gather smokes
To dim my light
Whereas the sky
Has lots to share
In cloaks of light
Bright and clear.

Plane not a bird;
Yet, you still try
To pull me down.
Whereas the sky
Is big enough
For all of us
To roam and fly.

Sonnet: Same air we breath

Both spots differ,
But lines are thin.
Big cities have
Lots of cravings;
Lovely to dwell
Whereas ghettos
Win nothing good
When you compare.
Take a step out
Toss your head up
There is one sun,
Same stars and moon.
Same air we breath
Sharing same depth.

Sonnet: Success overnight

I pray for just a day to come
When I shall wear the best of smiles.
Dance like I have never before,
So the world know a kid is born
Not out of luck but through hard work
My golden pen will be happy,
Top we made it, through thick and thin.

I look forward to such a day
When the green grass will be a grace
And the fruits shall nourish my tracts
For talents had performed and waited
But fate failed to understand
Blessings should not come as disguise
Form of curses, tears, pains and regrets.

Sonnet: Stepping stones to dive

Patiently, I waited for dews
A million miles from you
The mentality saddens me
Legit jobs, now a mockery…
But that I do on stepping stones
Until I dive into deep blue sea
To become as fresh as fish.

Picking from the bottommost
Treasures of reward at its best
On your fast lane dubiousness
You mock my steps and dryness
Saying I never would quench a taste
But you will unendingly thrust
In the sea of oozing wealth.

Sonnet: Safe tone

Unfiltered pictures slide
Just like fun, grabbing horns
I saw you, shy subdued
Until you, fell like dews..
Now I got sonant heart
No Prada, I wonder
How I won, a hone born.

No kobo, I fumble
“Silver spoon, will come soon”;
You said it, I trust it
Am lucky, to win keys
That unlocks best of lucks
With no health peril felt
By your side love I found.

Nigeria: Congratulated

After night, comes dawn
Yes; I lie, I will be fine
Under the footage of grey
And therewith sufferings
Tasted as honey sweetness
In the core of bitterness.
My foot turn cold
Feverish; I shiver
Terrified by the shadows
Crying a river
But something in me says;
Congratulate the moon
The night may be long
But dawn will surely come.
