Category Archives: Tankas

Tone: Terra Incognita

And it all began
From obscured things we heard, of
Strangers and dangers…
Till feelings gently surged up
From a great unknown depth

Now we are like aliens
So different from the rest;
Living like angels
In love sweet escapades
Re echoing; “I love you “

Each time we partway
Feelings becomes a daresay
Showing we share lungs
And embodiment of soul
Singing in an unsung note.

Tanka: Dying with honor

Take me above skies
Before all my feathers drop…
On sands I shall lie;
After swapping flaps for flop
Than to die without honor.

Tanka of freedom

Take down the subway.
Remember; the best of things
Are found not searching;
Freedom as seas paves way
Duck no heads while flapping wings.

Tanka: Hunter green

Life is not a trap
Lessons are meant to be heed
And not all the snares
In woods are made by hunters
Nature is a hunter green.

Tanka: Bird of Juno

Bird of ill omen
Please do not perch on my roof
Must I scream Amen…
Before chance grants waterproof
And birds of Juno on sprees.

Would you still love me
If valley becomes of hill
Would you still love me
When ghost visits the vast sea
As my soft skin fails to feel?

Would you still write me
Sweet love poems worth more than bill
Would you still love me
If my balls no longer pea
And my waters have no eels?

Would you turn the page
To give full body massage
Would you turn facade
Making me romantic meal
Hating my skin wrinkled age…

Would you still love me
Snuggle and smuggle a kiss
Would you still love me
Each time I whistle and hiss…
Having not enough of this.

Tankas – Be mine

Please be my sheer wine,
My love and soulmate in brine,
Fine, you are divine;
No bribe, but pride bride of mine
Poetic verses, and line.
