To the faithful fans

There are more to fans
That are more loyal than dogs
Yet royal like Kings…

Each time I fail, they
Always find a way to stay
With flimsy excuse.

It is their support
That makes me lift a trophy
Every season…

Even with the odds
Against me, they stand by my
Weak withered flowers..

Like Cherry blossom
To the Japanese
They make me happy…

When bones are broken
And hopes are lost, they give me
Quick recovery

When confidence ceases
It is their songs and cheers that
Keeps me going on…

It isn’t the soil
Where my roots have a home
That gives victory

But the fan’s stomachs
Inside which I am a wolf
Hungry for success.

Darling sister: Thank you

I have seen shallows and deep
Most people will render help
Only for a hug and kiss,
But I get the bliss I wish.

Not just for the color red
Giving is not a book read
It spans from a loving soul
Not after pictures to show

Even in drowning waters
I can boast of a helper
Well, I speak of a human
That gives me an helping hand..

Bless God we share the same cord
And same flowing reddish blood
Oh how I wish there were more
Like you, no one would be poor.

Sonnet: Revisiting Gifts

While I am overwhelmed by these gifts
Coming from past, sweet words and texts
During Christmas and my birthdays
Surprises that came with ribbons
Pockets filled with fat envelopes
And buckets of consumables
I am grateful for those moments.

All these stickers on souvenirs
Gotten from events in the past
Brings a flashback with some teardrops
Though I do not anticipate
Being here forever on earth
I revisit, for I can not forget
Sweet memories I find in gifts.

Vinify: Goodwill Message

Oh we wanna thank y’all
For putting smiles on our face
For giving our slide a wedge
Without you, it would be flaw.

Y’all must have seen the ducks
Swimming over dirty muds
Swimming with no drop of sweat
Like victory comes out of luck.

But underneath the surface
Are their webbed feet paddling
Relentlessly to succeed
Yet such, shows not on their faces..

Y’all have been those webbed feet
Great foot soldiers, taking all
For our day to have a lift
Thanks, for making us stand tall.
