Over Six Decades (Happy birthday mom)

If you ever think of a mother,
Or you try to visualize one,
Cast your gaze upon my mother.
I don’t know about yours,
but mine is one-off
And the best anyone can ever have.

My soul is full of longing
for the secrets of her care,
and her soft kind heart
even when she portrays fire
and a lioness but like mother hen
that soft heart of hers,
always come forth like the morning dawn…

Her motherly affection always sends
a thrilling pulse through me each time I recall
growing up under her rules, eating her foods…

If not her guidance
perhaps I would have been ruined,

I am so proud to call her my mom.

Happy birthday mom,
may God’s grace, mercy and protection
continue to shower upon you.

I wish you many more years on earth,
with sound health as you reap the reward
of the good seeds you have sowed.

Celebrate my love

Jesus is to Christmas day
What you are to today!
Why wouldn’t I celebrate?

I will like to let you know
That you worth more than gold
Why wouldn’t I celebrate?

Your beauty is both in and out
Our family is blessed to have you
Why wouldn’t I celebrate?

You are my natural Highness,
And my sweet comforter
Why wouldn’t I celebrate?

Even this birthday smiles,
Because you are amazing
Why wouldn’t I celebrate?

Cheers to my lovely wife,
Today kick starts a greater height
Happy Birthday to you my love!

Kiss me, I am 32

Life has been so well behooved
Its wonders are still that I crave
Guarding ways for grey to pave
Walking through evading graves

Life made childishness to cave
As birthdays keep rolling like waves
I pray for longevity to behave
I pray for grace in this new age.

Life has given me a beautiful stage
Let’s lit the party and go rampage
I am so happy for this new page
Thirty two years of sweet vintage.

The urine took turns
Came forth, no horns
Childhood is gone
With so much fun…

Three decades sum
With roses no guns
I play these songs
My sweet ping-pong…

A tonne of senses
Natural eyelashes
You are my glasses
My guide and fences.

Gem so golden
Nothing hidden
Fresh like garden
With no burden.

My sweet kindness
There’s none else
An elder dress
Could fit in chance.

My beauty sight
Take off the lit
Of candlelight…
Party all night.

A day by day
Favor and grace …
Wish you today
Happy birthday.

24 August 1953 (Happy birthday to my dad)

Lawrence Egun Onyeche

A breathe, on me you blew
And gave my pay a dew…
So rare, so not a few;

Blood, yet a friend,
Bond that never bends;
Type that never breaks.

My frame and my elbow
My thick wire and cable
Placed food on my table…

Sixty four more than a number
It marks an unending ladder
You are, truly a born leader

God grant your wishes today
Fail to plan, plan to fail
That’s what you often say,

I am the candle, you gave a flame
You hit the hammer on my nail
There is legacy in your name…

Today; you were a droplet,
Now you are an ocean outlet
Everyone envy your jet…

In sun, you never melt
In ice, you are so warmth
A father, heaven sent

My pride, hands on my chest!
Your voice has an impact
It is forever felt.

Hip, hip… Hurray!!! Happy birthday,
In health, long life to you; daddy
Happy birthday, to you daddy.

Happy Birthday

There is just a moment in life for memoirs
Memoirs of a perfect timing
Memoirs for Mr. & Mrs
Mum and dad to be precise
Memoirs for the world
Angels and God
Who sent their words
During the day
Night I think…..
Written with chalk and ink
Memoirs of a perfect timing
An offspring in pink
With cakes and candles
Disco like celebration
Soon becomes an anniversary
Anniversary for you and I
Today marks another day
Of a perfect number
Joy and happiness
Birthdays are for you and I.
