Sonnet: Losing touch

Once upon a time, we were blank
Out of an art, experience sank

We had bath and dance in the rain
We cut cakes and acted insane

There was this feeling that we had
Taking us places from our minds

Body to body, current flew
By desire our hearts we drew

Young and agile, fast we ran
Yeah! we felt all can’t was can

Love was fresh, until we forgot
Love we lost and the pains we felt

Time ran fast, gradually we blank
The act and rain water we drank.

The lookalikes

From the rocks of all ages,
I can not distinguish
Parent birds and offsprings
New blood always become
Everything genes speak of

But how do lovers choose
A lookalike for rings,
When taking the glove off
Further bending the truth
That; “one plus one is one”

Many differ from Adam
But after knotting ties
They get two gifts in lieu
One from kids of the womb
Second comes up in grey.

I have seen a balance
From produce of unions,
Between mother and child,
Yet at the other edge
You see features of dad.

If you are Mr. Thomas
Take a walk down the park
Watch families merry
New blood always become
Everything genes speak of.

My Bloodlines

To my lovely children;
In your varying veins
The same blood flows deep down
From same ancestral gown

Daddy loves you so much
That he will always blush;
“I have been to lala land”
There are still lots to find.

In the air, build castles
Let wonders guide you through
Into imaginations
And cartoon’s illustrations.

Dance and play; in your cots
Throw blows; but not a lot
When you do, forgive too
The cord shared, is not two

Trust and always believe
Family never leaves…
Please honor your mother;
Do always remember

For you, she went through pains
After nine months you came
Giving her reasons to smile;
Hence, she goes extra mile

To protect and provide
You with a stress free life.
Do not get so annoyed
When we do spare no rod

While growing, when you err
Please gain an old man’s hair
Trust and always believe
Our love will never cease.

Born of rape

I am a cell
That often sail
From abortions
And its portions
You were the maid
Ripped into shreds
Triggered I swarm
Away from shams

But your ovary
Just couldn’t free
A frightened cell
Running from hell
After a month
Doctors report
Confirmed you were
Pregnant; I feared

And since you had
No one to hold
Responsible;
Like most people
Abort and move
I thought you would
But you stood up
Strong like a rock

You carried me
A growing hill
And I wondered
Deep down under
How you managed
With all those rage
To keep me warm
Inside your womb.

Sonnets: Gazing at the running child

Like the experience of tranquil and peace
Underneath water. My love for the kids
Is appealing and so satisfactory.

I confide with their harmless innocence
Oh my… oh my, where do babies come from,
A thousand toys and gadgets on the floor
Colors the room with such innocence.

Kettles from the fire waters the cereals
I picked up a spoon, to feed a baby
But with tender feet of low stamina
In flashes of light, tittering and giggling

Completing ten strides in just one second,
Round and round the room the little one runs;
They are the mirrors, that shows am aging.

Letter from children to their parents

Dear Parent,

Before shadows of death cometh,
Life is live to experience breath
Not these rules that must never be bent,
“My child, do this; my child don’t do that”
Until your choice of destiny is found,
Let the dice roll, you can only guide.

It may be a sweet meal at the moment
And tomorrow; mouth and the toilet
Tell dead tales of the meal they ate;
Parenting is a school you graduate
Only to get your descriptive result
When your children turn into adults.

Your children.

Brink of resemblance

No debate, no contestant;
Have you ever noticed that
Parents battles for who won
On the look of a new born?

They expect flavour and shades
In brinks and edges on the face
Then get a blended oneness
So; appreciate God’s greatness.

Baby Shower

Well some friendships, are more like bloods
Thicker than water; sweeter than sugar.

My dear sweet friend; you are adoring
Lovely pretty daughter, turning mother

Blunt; no pretend were all funs we had
Truth and the dare; running from a beer.

Glad and privileged to be your friend
Distinction you are, beauty with brains

You are a gem, and a virtuous woman
Surely you have something golden in you,

Something to treasure, never a chaste
From actions and humps; God bless your bumps.

Cupcake Haiku

Odes are sweet and free
Ants building homes tall as trees
Could this be love please?

Our very pastry,
Art of leather clays and tray
Child of light rays….

Crates the hens can lay
An awesome chick loves to play
Oak beam, of unique ways…

Cry not, oh cupcake,
All that chance shall have to take;
Out of flours we bake.

Infants Haiku

Bump to womb escape
We were quite smallish as grape
But all traits we scrape

Hence made of sweet flours
A combination of all
The good high and tall

The flawless and flaw
Bla bla bla, we learn to crawl
Against tender brawl.
