My Bloodlines
To my lovely children;
In your varying veins
The same blood flows deep down
From same ancestral gown
Daddy loves you so much
That he will always blush;
“I have been to lala land”
There are still lots to find.
In the air, build castles
Let wonders guide you through
Into imaginations
And cartoon’s illustrations.
Dance and play; in your cots
Throw blows; but not a lot
When you do, forgive too
The cord shared, is not two
Trust and always believe
Family never leaves…
Please honor your mother;
Do always remember
For you, she went through pains
After nine months you came
Giving her reasons to smile;
Hence, she goes extra mile
To protect and provide
You with a stress free life.
Do not get so annoyed
When we do spare no rod
While growing, when you err
Please gain an old man’s hair
Trust and always believe
Our love will never cease.
