Nigeria: Congratulated

After night, comes dawn
Yes; I lie, I will be fine
Under the footage of grey
And therewith sufferings
Tasted as honey sweetness
In the core of bitterness.
My foot turn cold
Feverish; I shiver
Terrified by the shadows
Crying a river
But something in me says;
Congratulate the moon
The night may be long
But dawn will surely come.

Nigeria: Today’s Missile

Disparity of low and high
Had given me an evil sign

Coming as a million crate
Signalling, will Atiku wait

For the million missiles far…
Kano, Kastina and Kaduna

I know thumbprints do not lie
But, stop counting the ways I die.

Nigeria: Welcome to Nigeria

Welcome to Nigeria
Where we love our tribe so much
That we let it destroy us.

From twenty-fifteen
She pleaded for a solution
To end the heat and dry bones.

Now; twenty-ninteen
We are to remove bad blood
And infuse a better one

But we kick the doctors,
Run out of facilities
And set it all on fire.

Welcome to Nigeria
Where we love our tribe so much
That we let it destroy us.

Nigeria: Atiku’s Cross

What can the Eastern wind do
What can the Rainforest do
When the heats from the North
Are “dying moistures of hope”
Aided by the center tears
And the broom from West
Fervently sweeping droplets
Falling to dust off dark clouds
Fuming the entire green.

Nigeria: Outcomes

A grey log of wood
Arrogant and rude
Poorest of the rules
Thinking we are fools.

Guess, maybe we are
Foolish, or not far
From being one, thus
We lost facts in us.

Propelling same old
Tall weak, empty head
Who called us lazy
Are we that crazy?

So incompetent
Yet we still thumbprint
For the rigid pole
Spilling bloods in poll.

This is not for fish
Nor broom and hate speech
But I do not like
When Nike is called Mike.

I must have to sleep
Hope the dream is sweet
But do not wake me
If he’s who to see.

February 23, 2019

For rewards of fruits
I will say the truth;
Nothing but the truth

Hello Nigerians
Send on an errand
Mentally sound minds

Not vegetables
Or broken tables
Who aren’t able

To sow seeds today
Or gather some hay
For the better days.

Our chances to become
All that we clamour
Knocks loud at the door,

Please ! do not answer
Bright future dimmers
We can do better.

Nigeria: Suffrage of Prez

One man one vote, choose for your boat
Same story told by voices of toads
Professing love before they shove.

Earnings fall out, students shut out,
Water pricy, hardship spicy
Yet the broomsticks, they swing and flick

Umbrella tents and their pretends
Beckoning plebs with tongues of glib
Coming when the fibres need ret.

Along the road, my feet turn cold
Walking through paths the Prez pinholes
Coughed sweet words, that never was.

Artillery auxiliary
Hello people, country people
Are they your best bet off the rest

It is so clear many are blear
Feeble and weak please try to think
Before you rage and suffrage.

Nigeria: Dear President B.

From a brooms stick to a bear;
We die, you dine and share
Our heritage, sitting on a chair.

We cry and shrink, yet you jeer
“Boys, take them far from here
Their tears ain’t welcome in here”.

Election comes we turn pair?
Please let me be crystal clear
Ain’t nothing new for ears to hear.

Do your worst make it flare
There ain’t nothing of you I fear..
Revolution, for loins and deer

Worse you can do is mar and tear
And on my scars, you drink a beer
But you ain’t going nowhere…

It may not sound all that fair
But the dirt that roam in the air
Has massed up pains hard to bear.
