Hazel’s diary: Forever heart

Life has no manual but a daughter
That would one day become a mother
But before the bloom hits her flower

I play catcher with her all the time
Reciting old and new nursery rhymes
She is my kid, my friend and a gem

Just like sunshine to the moonlight
My face she brightens and mood she lifts
Laughing like a drain all day and night

All in one and a heart warmer
Privileged am I, as a father
To a truly beautiful daughter

She makes me feel a certain way
While watching her grow everyday
Into a beautiful art of clay

One day she may outgrow my lap
And the ride she does on my back;
All I know is; our love will never slack.

Hazel’s Diary: Growing bond

I have always felt, the ocean is deep
The skies are up and nothing can flip

I felt nothing can halt my wrath from wafting
Until little Hazel, came out stretching

Rare genes translated into a beautiful princess
Quenching volcanic eruption in the process

Smiling like the sun, penetrating with ease
Oh yes, I love her with every fiber of my being

And ever since she came into my world,
I became a child and a clown with a bond.

Hazel’s diary: World’s greatest daughter

Staring at an infancy
I could smell her fantasies
And wonders of her dreams,
Walking through the autumn leaves.

With innocence at its peak
Belly laughing, at a trick
When she chuckles, I chuckle
When I guffaw, she guffaws.

She fetches the handkerchief
To dry tears on others cheek
She is a tower of strength
God bless her future friends…

There seems to be so much joy
Watching her pet her own toys
Pampering them like they breath
Dancing to songs and the beats

She reminds me time does flies
Reciting nursery rhymes
Watering flowers in jars
Bringing back the nostalgia.

Her mindset is an atlas
Running around with sparklers
Best part is when she calls me;
“Da.. da.. dad” exhorting me.

She is my first noble prize
More than it meets the eyes….
Of a billion, she chose me
And I like how great it feels.

Like the breeze from the ocean
Cooling soul with such passion
I’m proud to be the father
Of the world’s greatest daughter.

Hazel’s Diary: I would always be there

Now little Hazel don’t you cry
Dad’s gonna be there all the time
He is your baby sitter, take high five…
Guffawing and chuckling, mess with the flour
Feel free, it is your time and that is for sure
Like a janitor, Dad’s gonna clean up the floor.

You’ve got a super hero in your Dad
That is a reason you no know harm
And forever will be his beautiful charm
But whenever you cross a road,
Busy or not, with or without a load
Always remember your crossing guard.

Now little Hazel, don’t you cry
Daddy’s always gonna be by your side
In the softest part of his heart is where you reside
Worry not about alarms and grounds that may shake
Daddy’s a firefighter he will keep you safe
From any form of eerie flames and shame…

Daddy’s girl worry about not a thing,
He is gonna buy you a diamond ring
And drive you round town, hearing you sing
With the names of your favorite toys and pets
If your pet ever fall sick, gnash no teeth
In dad you’re got the greatest of vets.

Although he is gonna give you all the tools;
That wouldn’t stop him from fighting your battles
He is proudly your watchman and force man too
Don’t you worry when your toys break or tear;
He is also your mechanic, he would repair
In his hats, are rabbits he pulls out to share

Enlightening you on all you need to know,
As your talent coach, your talents shall grow
And as your teacher, your grades shall know no low…
Just think about anything delicious; you got a chef,
A waiter and a baker, in dad and on his shelf
He has the recipes, the very best for your health…

Now little Hazel, hemorrhage may come
Daddy’s gonna be your superb doctor
Healing you, don’t be scared to explore
Life is a river, and if when you swim
In the shallowest or ones filled to brim
Remember, a life guard you have in him.

Now little Hazel don’t you cry
Daddy may not be there all the time
After you’ve recited those nursery rhymes
But as your mail carrier, let it be clear
That you are forever his baby girl
And only good news your ears shall hear

Though everyday you learn new tricks
Dad is the scientist caught up in the mix
Studying all your new discoveries…
They say; what you sow is what we reap,
Daddy is a farmer, you were once his seed
Now a bountiful harvest is all he sees…

Hazel’s Diary: Happy 1year old

The alleviated pains from cradle to this very day
Has been a bundle of joy, a perfect gift I must say
How fast the hand of time flew, nursing you my Hazel…

This life is indeed no bed of roses, but I promise
To give you everything desire to make you a bliss
Oh!! there goes my ever smiling child, scattering her cake….

In you I see a vine of sweet scenting beautiful flower’s blossom
So watering you, my adorable first fruit, is always awesome
But while on it, I must say, Happy birthday to you, Hazel.

Everything you touch shall indeed turn to gold
You are blessed, success shall locate you in multiple folds
All doors to greatest shall be open for your sake….

Staring at your beauty and bedazzled by your intelligence
They both say, the Angel you are is no coincidence
So grow up, make us proud, happy birthday to you Hazel.

Hazel’s Diary: Don’t be scared of the dark

You are our muse, the splendid joy we bear
Caught up in our lives, the love is crystal clear
Before now, to you darkness was never frightening
Neither did you wake up crying over nothing.

Where did you learn to be this scared
I have a message for you… Dear Hazel,
“…If shadows spread tall and wide over at night
It doesn’t mean that it will forever remain like that

Darkest hour is always before the dawn
A spring eternal is how your hope should be drawn
Walk up to us from your room to the parlour
We are your knights in shinning armors

The adage, “Light at the end of the tunnel” is true
And it all begins deep down from you
Laugh and the world would laugh with you
Cry not my dear, all that we got is you.

Hazel’s diary: Hazel you are blessed!

The things you exhibit at this tender age
Would make the world read you page by page

Beauty with brain, a perfect combination
Coupled with your drive and determination

Growing up awesomely is a must
But know that adulthood has its storms

And the blood running through you will see you through;
For we are great achievers, winning is all we do…

Some goals may appear as a blurry mirage
But believing is the secret for success to emerge

And all about rightly developing yourself
Learning from the past and future shelves

In this fast growing world with craves and tastes
Worry not, just be yourself by default you are the best.

Hazel’s diary: Dad’s duplicate

I lay awake on the bed
Watching Hazel’s shape of head
And how the soft spot appear
Just like ripe Avocado pear

Her brain must be versatile
Though she looks small and fragile
Her strength is seen in her eyes
Frozen but she still melts an ice

And each time I look at her
I see me deep inside her
She is my other copy
Far better than all jewelries.

Hazel’s Diary: She woke us up at dawn

It was about five thirty in the morning
On tenth day of march twenty twenty
The room was cool and conducive
Gradually, the journey to dreamland
Was fading and sweeter than ever.

Our heavy windows of vision were tightly closed
Preventing even the lightest of rays
So curled up on bed tucked in bedsheets
Outside, sunrise slowly dragged its feet
As we were reluctant to rise and shine

I bet the neighbors did just the same
Till out of the blues, came Hazel’s
First ever baby blab, way far from cries
Seems she was communicating to us
Smiling and repeating herself, like records

I bet she said: “wake, the sun is here”
Though we couldn’t comprehend what she said
Words can not explain how excited we were
Hearing and watching her express herself
Waking us up for the first time at dawn.
