He deserved to die

Nothing hurts like being tarred
With the same bush and evil cards
So just when the sun began to melt
And it seemed there was nothing left

Knowing you would never be back
As shadows spread out in the dark
I stretched out a gun and pulled the trigger
With no atom of regret nor did I shiver.

Sad? Tell me how could I fold my hands
While you fade out before my eyes
Into the crazy thin air on a journey
Of trusting, falling and cuddling…

Especially when it was made from flatters,
With the truth labelled monsters;
And a large cake which is not worth
Your precious burning candles and sweats.

Save me from my friends

I hear people say,
I have an old head
On a young shoulder
But the said wisdom
Came from people’s tales…

And in all it said,
Though time might have past,
Save me from my friends…
The more things change
The more they stay same.

Secrets to reaching grey

My best advice to every man
Is never to ever lose an arm
These days trousers cut across genders
Struggling to fulfill agendas

My best advice to every man
Is never to ever lose an arm
This arm is not the anatomy
Neither the spans and weaponry

My best advice to every man
Is never to ever lose an arm
In strength and support rendered
By love, family and friends

They are the might in an entity
Fused as power of longevity
My best advice to every man
Is never to ever lose an arm.

Passing Out Speech

Advancing higher
Goodbye is a word
To be said by all
Sad as it may sounds;
It may be for good
As one advances
Life is but a stage
And every page
Comes with its own

Pool of friends
Valuable in life
As treasures found.
No one ever wish
To just let go
Of friendship
But every new stage
Has its own device
Coming plain and blank;

Faces may disappear;
But sweet memories
Resides inside…
So worry not,
Of losing such
A jolly good fellow
Because at the end
Sweet memories
Will always remain.

Not all friends turn foes

Let me sail through your seas
Not all friendship turns foes

Storms mustn’t come with rains
Rain mustn’t bring forth floods

While we sail on hot or ice
Let me paddle, not capsize

Kill mindsets of evil toes
Not all friends turns foes.

Somonka: Tender crush

The puppies sky gaze
At the stars while it twinkles
All we had as kids
Was a shadow of the sun
Crawling out onto the ices.

Moon looms in your eyes
No one know you like I do
We walk down those streets
Talking about beauty and beast
Laughing out favorite lines

From a childish brain
And matured wires in our veins
Our hearts raced to taste
A drop of rain on our face
Jamming heads, we never kissed

In view of the rush
In fog we played hide and seek;
Then we fell on rocks
But the dew was all we trust,
Though no tears, we almost cried

Then we cheered ourselves;
Touch you last, we often scream
Until crop of cream
When it turned long time no see,
You were, sweetness of my tea.

Focus man

If you are not a bloodline,
If you never saw me crawling
If you never met me braying,
Please don’t come commanding.

If you mould no brick or stone
If you do brace no sheath of steel
If my load on you is globe heavy
Please don’t complain or nag.

Are you Samuel’s Delilah
Bat, Pharaoh, Owl or Jezebel
To you, let my names ring no bell
Please don’t come destroying

Especially when seeds grow
If you never believed me though,
I owe no one an apology
When chasing dreams with energy…

Tales Of A Wife: You

It did amuse you catching a butterfly
Colourfully wonderful
Not willing to let go,
With a partially open hands,
All behind you blinked white
So amazing you look
Can an angel be finer than you?
When it drops, it does rises
You are the butterfly, never let go.

All for you, fire burns cold inside
Solid as a block yet gaseous I can tell
Proposing passion pleasure pain
The triple hurts like hell
Love the bumper, we may be learners
Forever; the persistence pays a lot
If we bash and get back to the wheel
For it feels like strawberry in yogurt
I hope you read this, you are the sweetest.

All About I

Planing progress I learnt from my Parents
Trust no one, valueable friends by the board
Self Consciousness I learnt from my bonded siblings
Heart breaking, love taught me well
In hard way I point deftly at the chalk board
So many shed in a water board
Dusters and easers hankies get wet.

Latent Chess moves, life point out well
Enemies are steve, but act cat eyed
Heaven or hell, its always a misery
Self independence I learnt from Biochemistry
Creativity and Poetry comes naturally
Loyalty is that I learnt from serving Nigeria
God provide a flight for my broken wing days.
