Goodbye 2020

Like the dogs do howl
Mourning, gazing at the sky
I weep, waiting for a new year
Hoping it ends the fear…
It is not that I am scared
But I am really scared
I just want this year
To come to an end.

Lungs are gasping,
Caskets were selling,
Antisocial, a new norm
So humanity don’t disappear
I am not scared
I am not scared
I just want this year
To come to an end.

The untraceable chuckles
From muted giggles
Made goose bumps to find
Its way all over my skin
I am not scared
I am not scared
I just want this year
To come to an end.

This year has left a mark
Aside being in the dark
Lockdown and deprived.
…Who can boast of not
Being “really” terrified?
Would next year be worst?
I just want this year
To come to an end.

Tears burst through
Like a million worms
Crawling out so fast
Like lightening
From every pores
I am not scared
I just want this year
To come to an end.

Amidst the confusion
Came the massacre
Of underdogs protesting,
Demanding justice
From the fat lying pigs
Who unleashed the dragons
When all they wanted; was,
Injustice to come to an end.

In it, new kids were born
Yet the whirling mischief
From the blind bats and pigs
Threatens to spread forth
As a second wave
I am not scared
I just want this year
To come to an end.

Inside my head plays
So many uplifting songs
Each time the pandemic
Comes as a comical music
I am not scared
I am not scared
I just can’t wait for 12am
To scream: “happy new year!!!

Avoid me

Please stay clear away from me
There are clouds following me
Dark and heavy, whirl and wild.

To the round drawing table
Back I go, when I tumble
Yet I fumble more and more.

Heaven joined, to renounce
Driving me into doghouse
Left to my own devices…

When I fail, I cry and try
But the tears refuse dry
Flushing me back into hell

I no longer take a chance
Since mountain labor gave mouse
As outcome each time I climb

Life has reduced me to tears
People too good, are my fears
So stay clear; away from me.

Handicapped

From where do problems emerge
Have you had a cut on your flesh
Whether ocean deep or shallow
Have you had pains that you swallowed?

Have you had an uncontrolled tears
Seeing folks suffer when you cheer
And you could relate broken bones
From dwelling in a troubled home

Have you ever felt firsthand pain
Where you hush and couldn’t relay
Suffers and ugly lessons learnt
From ashes and disappointments

Have you been undressed by unrest
Both in sunrise and in sunset
I wish I could lend you my hands
But I am like you, paralyzed.

Lies, Axes and Ropes

Broken crown, heartless clown
I heard the news in town
That in her, you have found
Another head to ride.

Please make exception
For this one I mention
Who deserves joys not tears
I have known her for years.

Look at the way she smiles
Amused by dead dry jokes.
All she sees is a ring
But axe is all you bring.

Your deceit pulls and press
Till she becomes helpless
Since you must break her heart
Make it lightning fast.

Between the Devil and
The deep blue sea, just find
The best way to let her go,
Best if she doesn’t know..

For it will be red inks
And very traumatic
To a point she will die
If she finds all your lies.

Bark back

R. I. P to the faithfuls
Ones that died coldblooded
By bombs, swords or guns
Far from the natural flood.

Whose very weaknesses
These killers use as drills;
Are the sins we fight
And the taboos we kill.

It is more sadden
That we do not take
These heavy laden
For bad cakes they bake.

An eye for an eye
They are sole survivals
We chose turning cheeks
To be a soul survival.

A hundred got burnt
And they keep doing more
Slaughtering for God
To our God we mourn…

The dogs that bark loud
Sometimes need a slice
Of a resilient mind
To hush in silence.

The greatest regret
Wouldn’t be bad fate
And the death therein
But sticking to faith

Especially when
At the end, no hell
No heaven, no paradise
We all believe and often tell.

Hell of a place…

This was once the floor I laid
Whom I craved and so adored…

One I was hundred percent sure
Until it mixed my baking flour

With beautiful ashes and dust
Covering gun powder and rust.

Hence, I am a running fly
Running from sorrows and lies

Pouring down like southern rain
Served as cakes, to wash my brain

On and by the floor, where I lie
Is a place I never wish to die.

Wretchedness

  • Living in a world of wonders
  • Blessed by the bluesy powers of blues
  • Touched by the unending living emotions;
  • An everyday tears,
  • Sweet-bitter life an unending cry.
  • Death stamps emptiness with party
  • Deeply soaked, the mind is heavy but empty.
  • At sorrow, eyes heavily look up the skies.
  • The end is a gloom
  • That don’t judge the means.
