From an elusive concept
Of an abusive romance
I prefer clean pairs of shoes
Shown, than the blood from a fool.

How they both had butterflies
In their stomachs, I know not
But from afar I saw lights
And its sparkles shined so bright.

Coming from hearts, with just flight
And hormones that felt alright…
Now the sparks comes from the files
Sharpening blades of their knives

While those hormones excited
Are great sadists by neglects,
“I hate you” they now recite
Picking bruises, all day and night

Ring that binds can be untied
So walk out, for sake of life
There are an unending lists
Of late plebs, who stayed in it

People smile and giggle too
In same love that involves two
Kindly show clean pairs of shoes
You deserve happiness too.

Collapsed heart

I followed flying butterflies as I craved
But they landed me deep into a grave

I bled right on the floor not just the pain that I was raped
Neither was it the bruise, the size or the shape…

But seeing the many beautiful promises
Fly away as flames from burnt fuses,

I once had confidence right on the stage
But Cameras of love replaced my image

Making me a coward dwelling all alone
Without a home, heart, name, number and a phone.

Frail behind pictures

With you I saw into the future
It was awesome and so assured
And around your arms I felt secured.

We were strangers although not for long
Gradually I mastered the contours
Around your hips, details I could draw

Just like the plants fed with good manure
Our love grew more than wealth can procure
We were the pleasure of epicure

Perfect love was our miniature
Each time we sailed we made no detour
Through the air, water, land and moor

It was as though we wrote love’s brochure
Sadly we are only in pictures
A perfect couple with such allure.

Not the dog you used to know

Like ocean tides create a whirlpool
And flies to wounds, I followed you…

Loyalty to you, was my schedule
Back pats I got sticking to rules,

Other lit bulbs a million joules
So attractive yet I never drool…

For years I stood as the pity deer,
Caught by their lights, amidst sweat and tears

I love you but I must not adhere
To dark principles because I fear

That keeping my sniff from your cashmere
Will bring me pains, more than I can bear.

You made me feel you were my krypton
And I the superman, shouldn’t yawn

You fed me the hoaxes of the brawn
Till my flesh reached point of rubicon

The bones you gave me were woebegone
You can’t stop me, I will be gone.

Let’s not begin this

We have come to a point of no return
No hunting with the hounds and with hare run
For a broken bond may be soldered
But in all it still may never be sound.

We had our charms and individual flaws
But love had a face like the back of a bus
Repeatedly it did refuse to smile
And to the both of us, we truly know why…

Expectedly, it has come to an end
We would have been better much as friends
Not as lovers, evidently a fact
When weightless straw broke the camel’s back.

Let’s not begin the cupboard love

What we shared years ago was cupboard love
And the break up was a problem solved
The better pills effect never failed
For a comeback is dead as a doornail.

The heavens can wait for another spring
If our decays lead to the nuptial rings
And as the calm does come before the storm
The relationship would darken our door.

Let’s not begin yesterday

Let’s never begin our yesterdays
Even when we have the wind in our sail
As valid item in each other’s eyes
Giving the stomach pleasant butterflies

The most beautiful thing about our ashes
Like charcoals, it removes smells from armpits
We both have loved and have lost but anyways
We grew, righting wrongs in different ways.

Let’s not begin to remember

Let’s not begin to remember all
All the sweet hugs and salt on injured sore
Indeed we once had colourful feathers
That in the wind glamourously fluttered
Until the tantrums had the best of us
And time after time, time couldn’t heal us.

Let’s not begin again

We let the picture mislead all that saw
Healthy Caterpillar with love for sure
Destined for metamorphosised wonders,
That in time never grew way more fonder.
