Building blocks of creativity
Without thoughts the mind wouldn’t function.
Cast your mind on positives thoughts
For the mind exists as a static form
And it takes your thought which is dynamic
To get creativity going.

Sonnet: Choose your status
I have seen all spoons
Some are silver made
And others are not…
I have seen all stoves
They all have same pots;
Some are filled with golds
Others are mere stones…
I have seen their tasks,
Their true potentials
And varying taxes…
I realized,
Life gives us blank cheques
To choose our status
And lifetime wages.

Fall to rise
I sowed to reap fruits
But got uprooted roots
I awaited helpers
Yet got more takers
Now more than ever.
Yes, I am frowning
For, I am drowning,
And so on my own
Trying to make home,
In full flesh and bone…
Outcome dock my tail
More I try I fail
And fall on wrongs slides
More turbulent tides
Never fail to hide
From hot pot to fire
Consuming desires
Seems like luck and I
Got issues somehow
That tears fill my eyes
If you are falling
Like I am falling
Free your mind, let go
There are times that holes
Are best to regrow.
Worry not that none
Assisted your corn
Seeds that fall harder
Decay, grow better
Richer and stronger.

Paddling
Challenges comes
Challenges goes
And life keeps going
On and on again…
No one wins the race, but
The misconceptions
Of man’s intuitions
Created competitions.
Life is a cycle,
Short as a bread
Breath is a ride
Around the cycle
While paddling
Enjoy the ride
Because you would not
Go around it twice.

Move on brother
Seems you need an inspiration
Life has prints ugly blemishes
Journey through the lessons it teaches
Makes one know they weren’t that bad.
Most times we need motivations
I heard that you had a great fall,
But the most greatest of them all
Is falling again on same spot.
Listen to this inspiration
Since circumstances brought you hell
From the spot that you tripped and fell,
Rise; mark the spot and forge ahead.

Ocean of needs
The ocean of need heeds to insidious fun
I have sailed, until invidious reactions
Drowned me in an unpleasant fiction
Then I realized, no man is contented
The more I stretched, pregnant pause I got
Looking behind, during times of regrets.
I learnt through the hard way, further I went
The more I developed needs and fared worst
Discrediting all of my achievements
Searching for heights, to me; “my now” sucks
I am human, I want more and more, of course!
I didn’t see the other side of the coin; thus,
Please while we speak bitter of our lives
Know that someone who was once alive
Prettier and stronger than us, didn’t survive
The more we want is the more we drift
Let us learn to appreciate our efforts
Give helping hands and kill self doubt.

The strength of hope
Surrounded by the energies of negativity,
Emerging with a great charge of positivity
Even in a stinky dung or in a deep coma
The smell of hope has a pleasant aroma
At first, you sniff more than you should
Until you surrender your mighty taste buds
Even with logically evidence flying around
A lot of people will make discouraging sounds
But hope will stick with a great satisfaction
Giving the mind an awesome gratification,
Even the far fetched triumph is motivating
Creating that crazy sense of well-being.
Obviously, hope is that not everyone fancy
Many at times it is seen as complacency…
Even when it fixes a million wears and tears
Just because it is empty, they look elsewhere
No matter what may be on the other table
Hope makes man’s wants and needs; satiable
Even when doubts critic contentment
Hope seals all until success cement it.

Rising tides
Butchering dreams effortlessly
Hope springs eternally
Tides rise, unscrewing bolts
Yet it lifts all worried boats.
Tomorrow promised big gains
Everyday, I tried again
Give me motivating words
To lift me against all odds.
Seeking for a breakthrough
But it is an impossible pull
Tides rise, unscrewing bolts
Yet it lifts all worried boats.
I still do not know where I stand
Carrying the weight of the world
Give me motivating words
To lift me against all odds.

Shredding pistils
On a mirage, I go gazing
It seems am evanescing
Into shadows of myself
Playing sad songs of faulty clef
I heard you mock my empty belly
Not all flowers bloom that early
Night and day, both can not be on
At same time, hence they take turns
Keep your polishes to yourself
I have accepted I am the shelf
Which termites have so devoured
An also-ran, am not favored
But in all gains, there is a pain
And when I fail now and again
Let’s just say, my success delays
Fruits shall come out from my decay.

Sonnet: Lessons from my parents
My parents have no fancy cars but greater mass
Through them I learnt to lower hands and respect ants.
The grass matters, always render help to others
Having a name is not the same for coins and fame.
Their blood my drink, I built my bricks, from all I sucked
I felt the rod, I cried and nod, away from mud…
In their actions, I picked passion which to function.
You do not burn your home or turn away from dawn
Simply because, you have a course, to break a curse.
To mould a clay, you have today, so they will say;
Never you bail, hammer thus fail, running from nails,
Make no excuse, do not refuse to be of use
Is not by wants but dues and sweats you pay for worth
Do not show strength when humble horns can induce choice.
