Well Matched

Mend a heart, nurture good names
While love age, let it not fade.
I know a man who never shivered
When he got red roses withered.

Heartlessness filled his wardrobes,
His eyes never shed teardrops
Drying water, he tore ridges
At every point he built bridges.

Many chics he racked with pains
Many slates he left thus stained,
Till two played the game of sole
True love, confused for wrong hole.

Beyond redemption he found
Himself hearing his own sound
While his soul, tasted his blood
Gushing like rain and its flood.

Bottles and I

My nose leak, my eyes are red
It seems I have contracted
One of those rare fatigue syndrome
Crushing after a beating drum
Dumping the light for upsurge emotion
That turned out to be a wrong decision
As soon as another stole her heart
Night shadows placed on my head a bandit
At night, I sit underneath strobe light
Drinking and pouring sorrows out.

Nichole to Nicholas (3): Consulting the gods

I can hear the cry of an Angel
Calling for the gods to decide
Or declare her fate in love
I hear her say, “heavens say;
Follow your heart, which I did”
Please tell her, I am destiny,
But a painter, coloring life…

Please tell her, I don’t intervene
In matters pertaining hearts
When God, didn’t compel Nick
Into wooing or even keeping her
As the treasure he is to find,
I am destiny, I see peoples vision
But love is blind, so to say.

If lovers are to be farmers,
Falling for her innocent soul,
Would be any farmer’s seed to sow
But I wonder why an Angel waits
In great anticipation
For the moment in time
His leaf shall cross her path.

Nichole to Nicholas (1): Swimming in a dead sea

Here goes two good friends
To cherish to the end;
A male and a female
Feeding secrets to an ear.

She thinks they are an item
Leaf and flower on a stem.
But how do you tell an Angel
Dreams could be ambiguous…

When she ought to know
She is not part of his plans…
But a crazy heart pumping
Blood cells, dead on arrival.

Young woman

Hey young woman
I know these men
Are after one thing
But just like
A fish and fin

Your heart needs
To swim in love pool
But with a twin.
And a special man
Is all you need…

Listen to the voice
Whispering in your heart
Remember love is found
Mostly in strange places
And with strangers…

He might be
The overlooked object
Lying carelessly
Somewhere around
Your empty house.
