Sonnet: Vinify 19 (My wedding day toast)
Purple and silver
Everyone glitters
April twentytwo
Today I walk down
The Aisle, is the
Beginning of bliss;
Sweet vinify wine
Happy we wear
Walking on air;
So crystal clear
Two destined hearts;
Fusing as one
So shall it be;
Till eternity.

Vinify: Goodwill Message
Oh we wanna thank y’all
For putting smiles on our face
For giving our slide a wedge
Without you, it would be flaw.
Y’all must have seen the ducks
Swimming over dirty muds
Swimming with no drop of sweat
Like victory comes out of luck.
But underneath the surface
Are their webbed feet paddling
Relentlessly to succeed
Yet such, shows not on their faces..
Y’all have been those webbed feet
Great foot soldiers, taking all
For our day to have a lift
Thanks, for making us stand tall.

Haiku: Deeper than depth
Aw..! I fell for her
Billion feet is shallower
Unlike mine for her.

Tone: More, forevermore
Pick up a ring; a wedding ring
Silver or gold easy to hold,
Examine it, look out for spots
Showing origin or its ending;
You would not see where it was sealed
Let this love be smooth, round and free
And like a ring, please let it bring
To the heart glitz; precious and sweet.
With no ending just good loving
Pouring out more, forevermore.

Spinster Juice
I envision every lady
Ripe for marriage as a juice;
And as it stands, just as juice
You are; “a sweetness of ritzy”.
I know you are white as snow;
An immaculate untouched forest,
But, endeavor to listen and respect
The romance your toasters show.
Not saying, your legs should spread wide
On a clock, of the nine and three
For men to pluck fruits from a tree
But, just be flexible to rules and bend…
Listen to the sweet sound of love
Feel the breeze in your window
Get your heart a loving pillow
And the spitfire, let it dissolve…
Not all wedges are stumbling blocks
Let love lead you to the glitters
Or you be praying on the altars
For love to come out off the lock.

Sonnet: Wages of love
A good reward; grey
When love is due stays
Beautiful in shades
Bedazzling will never fade.
Shaped for, day by day
Wired to forever stay;
Smiling like Sun all the way.
For like the good grades
Joy shows on the face
No gold on the palm
But my wounds heals by love balm.
Young till the greyish age
May this love get its wage
Till eternity; so I pray.

Tone: Vinification
Down the aisle we take
Million stride we bake
Flours into sweet cake
Dressed in whites like chalk.
The grey suit of mine
Is endless love mime
Staying forever
In love together.
Like the purple grapes
Undergoing fates
Turning to sheer wine
Spurred by love divine…
Let us make wine love
Thanking God above
For pairing us both
Like the nuts and bolts.

Tone: 24th November 2018 (Part 1)
It was November twenty four
The fog decided to hit the floor
And show itself, for the first time
Where it belongs, and intend to dine.
I made my way into this town
With an intent, not to drown
But ascend to the throne
For my head to wear your crown.

Knocking on the door (Iku eka’ozo)
The time
When parents
Betroth
Children
Is gone…
The time
To knock door
By self
For love
Is come
Ku’ eka. (knock hands)
Ozo… (door)
If you
So truly
Love her!
People
Of Agbor
Will say:
So we
Are here
We came
For a charm
A Rose
Whose scents
We drink..
En’yi (we)
Racho onyen (came finding someone)
Si’kode (that will)
Bu’ye (give)
Enyi nni. (us food)
After
These sweet words
The wide
Long door
Is opened
Many
Sweet maidens
Escorted
Starts to
Take turns
Covered
In wrappers
From heads
To toes
Come out
We look
Precisely….
We pick
The one
We chose.

Anticipating desires
Painting thyself
Queen for a King
On thy vine shelf
Laughing all night
To thoughts of thee.
Hoping crown knows
No sad but joy
Falling like dew
From the heavens
Onto the floor.
And with no wings
Mind seems to flew
Winter is hot
And in the night
The Sun still smiles.
