Beauty in clothes

Riding down the street
In the mysterious
Small city of life;
I met a lady;
And strangely, all my
Worries disappeared
She is so awesome
Only comparison
Is her reflection
She is a wonder
Her curves and edges
Are all conspicuous

There is this intense
Craving that troubles
All gaze that spots her
Attracting to eyes
Are her oranges
Fruity and juicy.
So well configured
She got big behind
Whenever she bends,
She cast shades on sun
Strange how her body
Could heal an illness…

Obsession for her
Never seem to end;
She is a treasure
Of great value; damn!
She’s hot as hell.
And even with her
Endowment she still
Dresses decently,
Yet many ladies
Out there in the street
Not as hot as her
Flaunt their nakedness.

One plus one is one

Looking from a contrasting view
One would wonder what is special
In enjoying something very much…
They say; only fools fall in love

Things we do when we are in love
Do not need good sense or judgment
If you never love, you can never
Comprehend the mysteries of love.

I guess, at some point, in our lives
We become the blind, crazy fool;
What would you rather do, when two joins
Defying maths to become one.

Darling Mom

I love my mom, she is kind and caring
She never sells ices to the Eskimos
Instead she provides, our meaningful needs
We aren’t the richest but we never starved.

Running from medications and hot water
Every time we had an injury, innocently
We hide it from her, but eventually
She always have a way of finding out…

She isn’t just a provider or an observer
Neither is she just another doctor
But she is a protector and a teacher,
The pillar of the home, she is a lioness!

Each time we err, she corrects our wrongs
And sings sweet songs applauding our right
Though most times she wears the scary look
It made bad neighbours not to mess with us…

Behind her straight unsmiling face, you will see
She is the sweetest and most caring mom
When nervous like a cat on hot tin roof
My mom would make you conquer those fears

And when frightened by anything or anyone
Run to her, and hide just behind her back
She is a superwoman, when she is home,
We are rabbits in the headlights that do not think.

Even as her sons marry their queens, and
Her daughters are leaving to another home,
Tongues would forever crave her delicious meals….
Oh! What would we have become; without our darling mom.

Coming of smash

I do not like grapes but in a bad shape,
When I ran out of luck, and had a shock
That the nuts are rare to the blind squirrels
The Elephant fell; I experienced hell.

I do not like grapes but in a bad shape,
When I got no help, and no honor left,
Then I knew; that when you smile, the world smiles
A lot but, when you cry, alone will cry.

I do not like grapes but in a bad shape
I adjusted my taste, and amended my faith
To enable me yield and let the pain lead
And breed me seeds that will cover the fields.

I do not like grapes but in a bad shape,
It was condition that made crayfish bend
Hence, I only breath with hope and believes
Bearing it all, till the smash hits the shores.

Rude Awakening

The beautiful sky, the cool breeze
The twinkling stars, and sunlight
Refreshing water, delicious meals

The meme of science and discovery,
The great artifacts and all wonders
Unique organisms, the hills and trees

The intrigue of sleep, refresh awake
The weightlessness of play, love and laughter
An amazing family, sweet friendships

The fog, mist, snow, rain we see and feel
The odors and sweet fragrance we smell
The sounds and pleasures we hear and feel

Always gives me a rude awakening
I just have to accept the fact that,
A day shall come, when we will all be gone.

Reduced to tears

Have you taken trips down memory lane
Only to be wet by some past events
And tears spread over? You are not alone.

Do you remember the saying that goes;
“When you smile, the world will smile with you; but
When you start to cry, you will cry alone”?

Well, not so all the time, I will be there
There are some broken hearts that never mends
And such a tear is never shed alone.

You may try your best in controlling it
Till it finds a way, caving in like the rock
To the force of stream, finding its way home.

Let it out, from the endless thoughts
Deep inside, even Angels sometimes cry,
Some tears are infectious left alone.

Bloods of earth

Vital liquid flows on earth
Conveying various nutrients
Held, yet formless and colorless,
Conveyed by different bodies.

Bless God for perfect designs
Creating mass, liquid droplets
Lost in wonders, how, where and what
Pumps and even generates it
Worries must be hydrophobic.

Bottom; treasures discovered
Reflects another wonder
Light and oxygen flows underneath
Just so aquatic lives should breath.

What a delight when submerge;
Peace and quiet will emerge
Swimming in the bodies of earth
While everything feels so alright;
Worries must be, hydrophobic.

Waterfalls

Take me down to the fall,
so I can loose it all
And feel weightlessness
from deep down my chest…

Freely falling by its
wonderful sight and sounds
Peace of mind is assured,
laying down by the shores

The bliss of a waterfall,
got no rival at all
Do not find wedge,
water can not be caged.

Haunting memories

I never believed; I could fall hard from the sky,
Or dance to a love flute until you broke the yoke…
And made me, your own choice, though at first, when we met
Inside me had weird fears, but you made opaque clear
Then the doubts turned to faith burning flames no regrets
You turned my fantasies into realities.

You made me a better version on your shoulder
And became the sunlight shining bright in my life
But the fire left the stove when you took off the glove
Leaving me in this home on my own, like dead bones.
Every day, I replay memories that we shared
And these memories, brings back sweet memories

Looking at the broken mirrors, I see terrors
And the trauma of your absence keeps haunting me
Guess I let my guard down hence I drink till I drown
Inside bitter tears shed; thinking of things we shared
Wish you pick up the phone, although you are long gone
I will still be right here waiting for you my dear.

Shredding Shield

I grew up reciting the motto of Nigeria
Unity and faith; peace and progress…
Now unity is threatened by our faiths and believes
While peace and progress have both gone to voicemail.

There was this pleasure I derived from drawing
Our Coat of Arm, encoding natural resources
By shading shield black to symbolize our rich soil
Which ought to be our blessings but now, our greatest curse.

There was this satisfaction I got inhaling fragrances
From the abundant flowers that symbolized our beauty
Damn, we are gorgeous! but those days are gone
Ever since the shield broke and flowers began to wither.

There was this confidence I had while growing up
I felt super secured in the pockets of two wings.
Please did you see the Eagle that stood for our strength?
Not these shredded weak feathers falling off from the top.

There was this pleasure I derived from staring
At our great Coat of Arm, I craved to ride on
The left and right horses that symbolized our
Pride and dignity but now, the craving is in the grave.

I grew up admiring the mark on the shield
Which symbolized two great flowing Rivers
That met at a centre, that once upon a time held
The great and mighty; Nigeria, until things fell apart.
