Thousand yards by me

A thousand yards by me,
From me and all of me
I discovered the true me
By rising tides and my boat,

A thousand yards by me,
From me and all of me
Watching from a far
My very self, I found gems..

I observed my whole life
Is more beautiful that I thought
A thousand yards by me,
From me and all of me.

Crystal clear, I spotted
The deep blue sky above
And the colored clouds
A thousand yards from me.

Butterflies of outcome

There goes a hand shake, what next
Will you leave it hanging like a breast?
Will you fling or cling it and rejoice?
Your action will speak more than voice.

Just like the ladies crave for aisles and rings
An agenda has amazing glitz it brings
Only when it goes according to plan
Though insatiable are the demands of man.

Nothing beats the feeling, lifting golds
There is this rush of confidence it builds
In the stomach the butterflies coil
Elevating and gravitating joy

From toes tip to the crown of the head
Screaming ‘I made it to this beautiful end’
Popping champagne and celebrating
Nothing beats it, touching the ceilings.

But when plans don’t go as one except
It makes one cold and fold like a blanket
Especially when the basket had all the eggs
Ah, the pain is worst than ten broken legs.

Slipping into darkness under daylight
If your expectation had been cut short
You will know, nothing is as devastating as
Your landscape of joy crumble under your watch.

Undeserved outcome

I have laid good foundations
Refusing to get hands stained
Planning for guaranteed future
Where shuttles will be by planes.

I have covered all the bases
Avoiding unhappy end
Doting i’s and crossing t’s
Yet I never taste good end

But when I am unprepared
All my sticks fall into place
And my outcome are tripled
When compared to prepared race.

Is readiness obsolete
Or a glamorous retro
For it fetches the worst
Contrarily to my motto.

Dawning of hope

Do not make your enemies to rejoice
Every lion was once upon a time a cub
I know you’ve been through hell
But you have to keep your fingers crossed

Do not make your enemies to rejoice
The soil may dry while the sun scorches
But, you have to keep fighting, even as
The leaves are drying and falling

Do not make your enemies to rejoice
Soon the heavy clouds will start to cry,
The stars are always above, though
It is visible only at night

Do not make your enemies to rejoice
Even the moon is sometimes dull,
One after a time, wait for your shine
Don’t you feel bad, down and blue

Do not make your enemies to rejoice
Remember tomorrow is in labor room
And the breaking of a new dawn
Must have been created, for hope

Do not make your enemies to rejoice
You might fall, but you can stand
So pick yourself back up, push on
Soon it shall be another history.

Facts of flying colors

Try, try, try again
You obeyed the rules
Yet you cry again

Let’s hit the nail;
Yes, you didn’t fail
Of course, you have passed,

But not with the wings
Of flying colors
Success is success

But some success are
Above success on
Low and middle tiers.

That is what differs
Good, better and best
Climbing the ladder

Each entails a push
And the sweat of rain
For grass to be green

One big advantage
Of flying colors
Is that it projects

And qualifies
An achiever
Above beck and call.

Coming of smash

I do not like grapes but in a bad shape,
When I ran out of luck, and had a shock
That the nuts are rare to the blind squirrels
The Elephant fell; I experienced hell.

I do not like grapes but in a bad shape,
When I got no help, and no honor left,
Then I knew; that when you smile, the world smiles
A lot but, when you cry, alone will cry.

I do not like grapes but in a bad shape
I adjusted my taste, and amended my faith
To enable me yield and let the pain lead
And breed me seeds that will cover the fields.

I do not like grapes but in a bad shape,
It was condition that made crayfish bend
Hence, I only breath with hope and believes
Bearing it all, till the smash hits the shores.

Staying at the top

You desire to build a perfect home
Halfway through, the end never comes
Hoping to outgrow the middle life
Unknown to you, you got peace of mind.

Building ridges, you nourished the plans
But allowed impatience scatter the sands.
Craving for crazy conspicuous wealth
But I see beyond, to what would be felt

Forcing a way to be part of the creams
Building bridges to connect the dreams
In speedy way, far from the organics
Leveraging, but I see future panics.

Road to success needs bravery fight
But when moments arise you chicken out
On the first sight and upon hearing sounds
You did not make it through the first round.

Now you have failed, take a step at a time
I can assure you, it would all be fine
Getting to the top comes with blemishes
Hurtful pains, tears, hitches and glitches

Thus; your objective would be to maintain
The new found status in the hall of fame
Snatch your victory from the jaws of defeat
I know you are capable of achieving heights.

Dead before honor

I have got a mix of cold and fire,
So in need of a million naira,
To help fulfil innermost desires

Sadly I keep getting failed promises
My calls they all deliberately miss
Should I die now, there will be a bliss

Many would cry for me childishly
When am laid, they would smile sheepishly
Feasting and spending so lavishly.

Frontiersman

Do not tell me to dream big and wide
Especially since you’re not inside my head
Dreams are urges that makes me to cum
It fills the bottomless pit and drums.

Never am I scared of mountains and hills
I chase dreams but dreams keep chasing me
I wait for my moment to shine so bright
Patience is virtue, but the trees fell flat

I will keep on dreaming, chasing a holy fame
Under my nose, wet woods that cheated got blazing flames
The conspicuous consumption life they found
” Keep the change”: has become their favorite word…

All of the beautiful wonders I have fantasized,
Could make breathe great but failed to materialize
Hello, are these my fragile feet on a right track
Should I pump the brakes, take a bow and then retract

Changing my fantasy route, to suit the hustlers
For all the world is crazy, favoring dirty gamers
Submerged in tears, I await heaven’s final judgements
but what if, I mean what if there are no end judgments?

Tough as an old boot

They say; the way home has the longest miles
Saying His grace, I wait for my hour

In your eyes, I am dull, weak and lazy…
Torn ligaments, cold tears gush from my eyes

I can’t remember the last time I smiled
Now a days, mountains keep growing taller

All things are hard before they get easy,
That was when Sunday mornings were easy

Not now when skies have swallowed the tower
Indeed; the way home has the longest miles.
